New to the ModX community. I am on a MacBook Pro (2 years old) running Snow Leopard. Just installed the latest release of MAMP and had previously created a database successfully and installed Drupal 7 successfully. Seems like ModX offers more options for me, and I am by no means a web or computer guru, but do learn very quickly.
I am trying to run the install of ModX Evolution and get up to the last point of all the "checks" running ok and telling me everything should be fine. When I hit "Install" I get an error message that shows below in bold. I’ve have tried multiple times doing many different things to get it to install but have not had any luck. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Are you using a new empty database or an existing one?
What are you using to create the database?
It seems like it’s not an empty database that’s why you are getting those errors I suppose.
Are you using the latest version of MAMP?
benmarte, I had originally created a database in MAMP then had installed Drupal 7.0 successfully and had that up and running with that database. I tried connecting to that database when installing ModX Evo and it would not work. I created a new database and now I am getting this error message. I’m wondering if I should reinstall MAMP?
Bunk58, I’ll look at your link and see if that helps, then I’ll post back with any success.
Thanks!
