What is the best email form?
It depends on what you need.
SPForm is easy to install and fairly spamproof, but it gives you a pretty simple contact form that is not that easy to modify. It does allow a drop-down list of recipients and the form can be styled with CSS, but the form itself is not easy to modify (although it’s possible).
If you need more of a custom form, then you probably want eForm, which is much more powerful and configurable, but a little harder to learn how to use.
Take a look at the contact form at the site in my sig to see if SPFom will meet your needs (it doesn’t have the drop-down recipient list but that’s really easy to implement).
Both snippets allow captcha and either mail() or SMTP for sending the mail.
