I have a client who is using IE9 and is unable to twirl open any of the folder containers. It works on my systems when I log in under her name. Any ideas?

I think its a stuck browser cache. Though this was a known issue, but fixed and you might need to patch it from the git.
Alternately, you can get them to use other browsers in the mean time.
