Hello,
For some time I have been messing around with ModX as a potential candidate for one of my main sites. And in doing so I have a test install that I use to get things working so to speak.
I have been working with the Jot snippet, And have encountered a major problem in that it just is not doing anything. My jot call has been changed in its chunk so many times as means of checking that I was not making any errors in it but regardless of what call it makes it still has the problem. Currently it looks like this
[[Jot? &subscribe=`0` &pagination=`20` &captcha=`1` &validate=`name:Name field is required!,email:Not a valid e-mail address.` ]]
It is in a chunk called "comments" and I have attempted calling this chunk from inside other chunks, from the template, and even inside documents and neither works. I typically have it inside the template underneath the content.
Now when the pages are viewed the form appears etc, which I can get around to tweaking the appearance of once I can actually get it to work. I try typing things into the field but here is the problem, when I hit submit, the page refreshes and nothing has happened, no comments have been submitted. I checked whether the viewing comments stuff was wrong and it wasnt, it simply is not posting the things from the form fields to the database. The jot content table has no comments in it at all. And I have been racking my brains trying to work out why but am unable to figure this out, I am using the default Jot templates and have tried multiple calls but still when hitting submit, the page refreshes but does not post anything to the DB.
Can anyone help me with this? (Jot version says 1.14 and ModX version is the last stable release (0.9.6 is it)
