Snippet that lists documents in a folder outside of the MODx document tree

Is there a snippet that lists all the (non-HTML) documents in a folder outside of the MODx tree?

i.e I have 10pdfs in a folder named PDF within the assets folder.

Is there a snippet, I guess similar to WayFinder but will look through folders outside the MODx document tree and place the file names in a list and with an hyperlink to that file would be nice too.
