I’m attempting to install a very simple blog using NewPublisher, Jot and Ditto. I used the wiki post on creating a basic blog. It seemed simple enough.

When I go to the input page and post a blog it appears to post just fine, but when it takes me back to the page showing the blog teasers (show_blog in the wiki demo), the new post doesn’t show up.

If I go into the back end manager and edit the input page at all and then save, the new post will appear on the show_blog page.

A similar thing seems to be happening when I try and post comments on the blogs that have actually appeared.

    Here’s my call: [[NewsPublisher? &postid=`59` &folder=`59` &footertpl=`CommentsBlog` &makefolder=`1`]]

    I also called it like this: [!NewsPublisher? &postid=`59` &folder=`59` &footertpl=`CommentsBlog` &makefolder=`1`!]

It didn’t change anything - the problem still persisted. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

    Update:
I changed my Jot call to [!Jot? &subscribe=`0` &pagination=`10`!] in the comments chunk. Comments are now updating live. Before the call was [[Jot? &subscribe=`0` &pagination=`10`]]

      - Do you have pages set Published by default in manager site settings?
      - Add &clearcache=`1` to the call and your problems should be gone!
      [!NewsPublisher? &postid=`59` &folder=`59` &footertpl=`CommentsBlog` &clearcache=`1`!]

//&makefolder is not necessary when you have set a folder.

        Yo Mr. Haw-

I was just about to update my post again to say I fixed it with that same exact method. Thanks for the response though!

You’ve helped me on a couple of problems now. Appreciate it! grin
