Hi,
I spent 2 days trying to understand why Manager’s HOME screen loads only top menu, then delays for about 40 seconds before it loads Site tree and all the rest..
Finally I found out that it’s all because of RSS feeds that appear on Home screen. I still don’t know what’s wrong with them and why they cause the delay,
but disabling them makes ModX run at full speed.
You can disable RSS feeds in site Configuration. Go to Tools, Configuration and scroll to the bottom of the page - delete these two urls:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/modx-announce
http://feeds.feedburner.com/modxsecurity
