This surely is a common problem, but I’m just now running into it because I always edit HTML directly without the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor. However, if you are using the TinyMCE editor, it has the nasty habit of destroying my Snippet calls whenever it flips between HTML and WYSIWYG mode. The "&"’s become the HTML code equivalent:
The person using the site needs the flexibility of the WYSIWYG editor, primarily to insert and upload images. For now, I put the Snippet call into another field (introtext) that does not use the TinyMCE editor.
Are there other work-arounds for this? It must be confusing for new users to attempt to use a Snippet when the Snippet’s input arguments are corrupted by the editor.
How do some pages suppress the TinyMCE editor (e.g. the login pages on the default site)?
Thanks.
