I’ve got a situation where I want WayFinder to generate a menu, but one of the menu items I’d like to have it look at the latest published document inside the container but still use the parent label.

    So the site structure is:
    Home
    Store
    Profile
    Magazine
         July Issue
         Latest Issue (October)
    Contact
    About

So I’d like WayFinder to use the root structure for its menu output, but run a Ditto call to find the latest issue and display it. I current set it up with a redirect on the main magazine template, but wasn’t sure if that was the best way. Had to make a couple snippets and chunks just to do that.

    Thanks

Q: Can WayFinder run a Snippet?

      A: Yes. it can  grin

Add the ditto call to your rowTpl and it should work (don’t forget to alternate the [[ [! !] ]] in the outer snippet and the embedded ditto calls).
