    Hello,

I am trying order my menu items. I tried through the document manager that did not work, and it doesn’t order with the menu index. I realized the order in the cms is default based on the page id which is reflected on the site.

Is there a way to change this? Please help.

You don’t say, but I assume that you’re using Wayfinder for the menus. I’m going to guess that your version of MySQL is 5.0.51 which has a bug that causes Wayfinder to ignore the menu index and put docs in the order they were created.

If that’s the case, there are three solutions that I know of:

      1. Get your host to upgrage MySQL.

      2. Recreate the docs in the order you want them to appear on the menu (you could actually duplicate each of them in the order you want them to appear, then delete the originals and rename the dupes. You’ll have to update any numeric links at the site after you’re done.

      3. Go into the Wayfinder code and remove the "GROUP BY" clause from the query.  This has potential side effects but it’s what I did to solve this problem and I haven’t had any trouble.

      Hope this helps...
