    Hi,

I have created a sitemap.xml file and linked this in with Google which works a treat...this isn’t using the sitemap snippet by the way.
I now want to make a sitemap as a html file that can be accessed via a menu item on the site...but i can’t find out how to do it. The Wiki just concentrattes on the xml file.
    Are there any tutorials?
All i want is a list formatted sitemap.

    Thanks for any help

    J

There is at least one site map snippet that I know of that will output the site in a list form. But you could easily do this with a Wayfinder call [!Wayfinder? &startId=`0`!] to output all the documents in a list and tweak it as you would any other wayfinder list (adding custom tpl or controlling how deep to go into the site).

I’ve done a simple one in wayfinder on a site I’m rebuilding.

I may tweak it some more, but it does the job at the moment.

          Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I did do it in the end with Wayfinder.
          Fo anyone needing to know....
          - First i created a new page for the XML sitemap with a template of _blank and set it text/xml in page settings.
          - I added a wayfinder call to this page as follows:
          [!Wayfinder?  &startId=`0` &level=`2` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer`&innerTpl=`cssplay_inner` &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` &fullLink=`True` &excludeDocs=`39, 48` &ignoreHidden=`True`!]
and saved it as ’sitemap’ in the Documents alias and Title.
          - For the html sitemap page i used a simple wayfinder call as follows: [!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`0` &excludeDocs=`23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 39, 48, 49`!]

Things are often easier than you think with Modx.
