It is official - I am an idiot.
I have accidentally deleted the doc manager plugin in my installation of MODx (v0.9.6).
Can anyone recommend/advise a quick way to replace/reinstate?

In the install folder of the original archive are all the snippets, modules and plugins. Just open the module file (module.docmanager.tpl) in a text editor and copy/paste as usual. It has no dependencies or configuration, so you shouldn’t have any problems.

If you mean you deleted its files, and not the plugin in the Manager, you can replace them from the assets/modules folder of the original archive.

You could also run the installer again in upgrade mode, but that’s a bit of overkill for just replacing one plugin.

Remember it’s a module and not a plugin so make sure you paste it into the right area of the Manager (Modules -> Manage Modules)

Tried that but when try to access module get the delightfully informative popup message:
No record found for id 1

Did you create a new module?

Sorted - think problem was had added the module but hadn’t logged out of the manager so it must have cached the module reference id.
Now have rebooted and relogged in all working as expected.
                Thanks for feedback

Ah.. I keep forgetting about that! It’s not a matter of needing to log out, it’s a matter of the top menu frame not changing when a new module is created, so in your case the menu item was still pointing to the old module ID. I need to add that to my to-do list!
