Hi there,
I’ve managed to implement a news publisher which has the checkbox tags and everything working for creating and publishing articles. It’s working an absolute treat.
I believe it’s from UglyDogs amended newspublisher script. But can I get a news management system to work in the front end as the create article process does? Nope. also there seems to be a bit of disparity across the locations of the documentation (and got forbid) no real tutorials either to help me manage and edit the articles in the front end.
I’m at a complete loss and I’m ready to wipe it all and almost start again.
Am I missing something? is there an EditContent TV that I need to create and call from the edit content snippet commandline? Why is the newsmanager refusing to even show a single article or the ability to browse the live articles?
Please help since the already advancing grey hair is being severly accelerated over this lot!

The NewsManager package has both a news manager snippet and a news edit snippet. These are preferable to the older NewsPublisher.

Thanks, I’m testing that one out now.. Seems that I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at the wrong thing. I’ll post back if I have any problems.
Cheers!

Update: I’m sure I’m being thick again, but it’s returning nothing!? I’ve used the default suggested snippet calls that are on the above link and I’m not getting any response from it? I’ll play about with the permissions and can post routines etc
Update 2: I’ve got two installations of ModX here. One local that hosts the ModX sample site (just re-installed it to test out newsmanager and newseditor) and allows me to experiment and another that I’m developing without the sample site and building the site from the ground up. Neither lets NewsManager and NewsEditor be called. I’ve checked everything, snippet names, permissions everything. What am I doing wrong?!
Update 3:
The documentation on the site linked above didn’t have the ? after the call! lol.
[!Newsmanager &folder=`<your news folder ID>` &editformid=`<id of page with NewsEditor snippet>` !]
