Does anyone know of a good solution to image management with modx?

For example, I want my clients to be able to upload images and have it saved in various predetermined sizes (e.g. thumbnail size for preview and full size for article).
At the moment I’m using TinyMCE which as a limited range of image controls but this is possible with cropping and resizing manually but not very easy for a client to get their head round.

So does anyone have any other options/solutions.
Also does anyone know of plugins/modules that will allow you to sharpen/blur images?

    much appreciated.

Depends on how you want to use these images.. phpThumb can do the things you are after, This old thread shows you how to use phpThumb in a TV. If you would like to use phpThumb in TinyMCE in document content, google for "imanager tinymce".

As Doze points out, there are a few solutions but none are really what you (and many others including me) are looking for.

I’ll point you to imgResizer and the Thumb snippet (which uses phpThumb).

The way I use it is like Doze says combine TV with the Thumb snippet, in my case it’s a placeholder since I put it in a Ditto template this way :

        [[thumb? &filename=`[+tvphoto1_produit+]` &newxsize=`45` &newysize=`45`]]

But I sure would like a real image management module like there is in Textpattern, would make it easier...
