What format or how would I create the chunk for Newsmanager inputs? I want the data that is entered to be shown in a certain format, but I’m not sure how to do it. Here is my basic html template:
<div class="pagestory">
<h2>[*pagetitle*]</h2>
<p> content goes here, including paragraph breaks</p>
<h5>Date created</h5>
What would I need to do for the NewsEditor as far as inputs on its side to get it to show up correctly in the article posting?
Still trying to figure this part out......
Thanks in advance, a ton, and my bosses thank you too!!!

I don’t know what version of NewsManager you are using, but in the
resource repository archive you will find a file "Documentation.html" and inside that you will find the default templates. Start with those and modify when needed.
"He can have a lollipop any time he wants to. That's what it means to be a programmer."
Just found them....it’s tough at times to find some of the basic info....guess ya need to know where to look....or in my case, drink another cup of coffee and wake up!
Thanks!
Duh, I just noticed something weird.
Here is my scenario:
I have the Newsmanager document (id=33) and the NewsEditor document (id=34) under a container document (id=38) for the user that I want to be able to edit and create postings that point to the container document (id=31) for his postings.
When he logs in it goes to 38, but both the editor and the manager are showing up there on that page.
All snippets are being called uncached, and I’m confused why both are being called on the main (38) page like that? It would seem to me that I would only need the manager portion to show up as I have a link to create a new post that points to (34) in the manager document (33).
Am I missing something?
What do you have in the document content in document id 38? If you see the snippets running on that document, then they are getting called somewhere.. or then the document is cached..
"He can have a lollipop any time he wants to. That's what it means to be a programmer."
On document 38 I have:
[!NewsManager!]
That is all that I have on it....is that right?
and what would you like to be displayed on that document? That displays the manager..
"He can have a lollipop any time he wants to. That's what it means to be a programmer."
Here is what I have so far:
I had the newsmanager and newseditor pages directly under the articles container page for the user, the problem was that they were showing up as articles when using Ditto on the main page. So I moved them into their own container page (id=38) and now have the newsmanager (id=33) and newseditor (id=34) under this container page.
I have a Ditto call on the main content page of the container (id=31).
When the user logs in, I am directing him to the main manager container page (id=38) so he can create/edit, etc his entries. However, both the editor and manager are showing up.
I am only calling the [!NewsManager!] on this page....is this normal?
Thanks!
I’m confused that why you have the NewsManager snippet call in both documents, the container document (38) and in the newsmanager document (33)? Shouldn’t the container document have just links to the two documents below it, generated with Wayfinder or something?

You’re right...hadn’t thought of that.....I’m using Ditto now for the links and it is working fine. One other question is how can I put the link on the main member login page for only the ’editor’ members to follow to their respective main editor page when they login? I guess so that it’s not visible to everyone that signs in, only to the member that has the editor rights.... does that make sense?
