[095] Snippet Chunks Don't Show In Edit [Which Is Deliberate]

I have searched here as well as the documents (at least I think I have checked all the resources). I have just done a clean install (locally - before installing on my web server) and am trying to do a new web page. When I click on edit - neither the chunks nor the snippets tabs show up (so I cannot add either of them to the page). They do show in the manage resource area and I have even created a new snippet (and saved it). Any ideas as to why the tabs do not show when u go to add/edit a page??

Sorry, I’m not sure to uderstand: you can’t see the snippet/chunk/plugins tabs?

Which version of modx you are using? with manager theme?
Have you tried to upload again all files?

That’s probably becasue there are no chunk and snippet tabs on the content edit page. In a previous version there was a snippets tab but this did not add any snippets to the page. It was there for infomational use.

Chunks are added to the page by typing {chunkName} and snippets are added by either typing [[snippetName]] for cached snippets or [!snippetName!] for uncached snippets.

Minor correction (double-brace needed): {{chunkName}}

All snippets and all chunks are available to all pages; although the reminder list may have been handy for some people, it was felt that overall it was better to reduce the number of db queries and HTML output on the edit page to make it leaner and faster. And to avoid confusion. I’m sorry that it has *created* confusion, but this stems from a misunderstanding of the purpose of the list in the first place.
