i have a smf version 1.0.8. forum setup off the root in a folder called /forum/
that works fine
I have setup the SMF connect forum integration following the instructions for the module and got the correct SMF install base setup as per searching on how to setup on this forum.
once that is done i try to goto the administration centre in the SMF Connector module settings and it gives me this error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: smf_loginbyid() in /home/david2/public_html/assets/modules/smforum/smf.admin.class.inc.php on line 36
now when i try to login as a web user after pressing return following the password it just redirects to a white screen.
The problem is that i cant uninstall what ever the install process for this module did so even if i remove the module i still cant login as a web user.?
help please - i just want rid of this module

The bridge won’t work with SMF 1.0.x, it requires 1.1 release candidates.

ahh sorry i didnt realise - i will update to the 1.1rc3 and see what happens
cheers
any guesses if the bridge will work with SMF final?
ok so i fully installed the proper smf 1.1rc3 and that worked fine
then i setup the smf connector again - just to make sure and with - at least i am pretty sure its right - all the correct settings in the admin section
and when i goto
runs the sync and other tool i get errors and i still cant login as a web user properly . it seems to call some files when logging in now from the smf connector and these fail.
is there any way of de installing it completely (so that i can reinstall when smf becomes 1.1 final and a good bridge is devised?

Hi
Did you check out the fixes in this thread:
http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,3565.150.html
To disable the SMF bridge, go to Modules ->SMF then edit the module and select disable.
i will hceck out the fixes link when i get back from work. but the disable still left something on the login as it reported an error saying it *had issues* sorry cant remember exact wording with some smf-file
so i fugued that the installer changes the normal login commands some how
