I have had MODx installed for a few days now and all of a sudden Quick Edit has stopped functioning. In Firefox it is generating javascript errors and and parse errors relating to all calls for the javascript files and the CSS files. These are the errors from the Javascript Console:
Error: The stylesheet http://www.smashingred.com/modx/assets/modules/quick_edit/styles/output.css was not loaded because its MIME type, "text/html", is not "text/css".
and
Error: QE_PositionToolbar is not defined
I reuploaded the entire contents of the assets folder but to no avail. I refreshed the site and still no change.
Please let me know what I can do.
All the best,
Jay

Some significant updates have gone into the pending 095 release. I’d take a look at the current SVN Trunk (which has a ton of other fixes too) to see if the problems persist. Please see the stickied announcement forum message for SVN access instructions.

*** I Just fiugured it out!****
The reason my QuickEdit stopped working is that the I had two url rewrite lines active for aliasing pages in the .htaccess file. This screwed up the path for quickedit somehow and it stopped working. Now that I removed the second command Quick Edit has returned.

That .htaccess can be really tricky. Mastering it is a whole career in itself!

I just forgot to comment out the old line when I edited the other. A result of carless coding than a lack of knowledge. I had previously not noticed the missing "#".
Now all I have to do is solve the mystery of the failing weblinks:
