Hi, at least I’d found (via forum) how to add the resource browser to FckEditor so register users can upload local images to the news, but now my problem is that FckEditor doesn’t allow me to upload files even create directories, does anyone know which is the default directory that FckEditor uses?
Do I have to change some FckEditor configuration file?
thanks
The FCKEditor, TinyMCE, and Xinha plugins all use the Resource Browser, which is in the /manager/media/browser directory. This is a modified version of the MCPUK file browser for FCKEditor. There’s alot of details surrounding the use of this...but I do believe there are a few posts around the forums about it. As it stands, the reason why the Resource Browser isn’t used on the front-end is because it would give a front-end user access to the same images, files, and such as a back-end user...thus giving them the ability to delete something important, which is not a good thing.
There is a way to implement it for the front-end...but it does require some configuration. Your best bet would be to use your own instance of the MCPUK browser and override the settings in FCKEditor to drive it. Hope this helps!

Ok, I see. That’s what I thought when I saw that everyone could see all files under those directories.
I’ll search in the forum how other people has done to let include images to the news.
Thank you!
