Hi, I’ve create a content struture with all pages of my site.

Now I would to allow specific user to modify these pages but before "publish" have a confirmation by another user. How Can I do this??

I’d like to verify all contents created or modified before go on line

    Thanks

A true workflow solution is not available yet.. it’s one of the things that are planned in future releases. You could duplicate the context and manually copy over the "approved" resources.

Another solution some people use is using Provisioner, which links multiple installs together.

Alternatively you could use VersionX (in alpha now) which I’m developig in spare time to check back on changes and revert to an older version if needed.

        what does that mean??

is this a module to add to my modx installation??

I’d like to find a solution for don’t automatically publish content changed by a specified user!

        Thanks

Provisioner is an addon which you can use to set up several MODX installations... You can use it to import resources from another install.

You can install VersionX through the package manager (Provisioner also, but that needs a few extra steps).

Hmmm am I miss understanding this ??

@Mark, your talking about multiple sites however I am reading this as a simple user permissions issue so that certain people can not publish resources.

In Evo to do this you would just create editor accounts and not allow publish, however I’m not sure with Revo as I haven’t delved into the user area yet.

@il_dandi can you confirm this is just one site and you don’t want certain people to be able to publish unless it has been reviewed by someone with the right to publist articles / pages ?

              @paulp

I’m talking about a single site

              I’ve 3 types of users

2 can insert/updates contents but before publish them (after each changes) I want that the third user confirm these changes.

              Any ideas?

              Thanks

There is no solution. You only could do a review setup where new ressources are created. Then connect the 2nd and 1st setup via Provisioner and only the Admin has access to provisioner tool in your live (1st) setup. That’d be kinda workflow.
Anything else needs MODX 3.0 which is far away in future.

And using versionX is it possible to do something??

or ... for example, isn’t possible that for a specific user (profile) each changes to specifiec content make page as "not published"? and only specified user can make "published" the pages?

                      Thanks
