I did find my problem:
Changed this line:
<object class="reselleruuid" table="reselleruuid" extends="xPDOSimpleObject">
to
<object class="ResellerUUIDS" table="reselleruuid" extends="xPDOSimpleObject">
and this line in the snippet
$reselleruuid = $modx->getCollection('reselleruuid');
to
$reselleruuid = $modx->getCollection('ResellerUUIDS');
on point 3 - yes I do believe you are right, the id is not needed.
thanks

I apologize.
I have been too busy writing to check back.
Opengeek recommends all schema names to be lower case. at least that was the last he and I discussed on the matter.
As you see, with MODX Revolution, there are many implementations to do any specific thing. It makes the platform an amazing framework, but also tends to drive the new users a bit nuts, as they are not used to the freedom.
Bob has been offering you the most straightforward solutions.
I showed you the beginning of what I used to make a Social Network.
I believe in the end you did the best route: work with it until it became something you fleshed out. You will tend to retain much more of what you learned.
The MODX class names and aliases, though, are in mixed case. The table names and field names are all LC.
