    I’ve got a stylesheet with various classes that need to be applied to certain items. For example, ".intro" for a paragraph. I think I’ve set it up fine in the Administration area of the manager, but when editing text nothing shows up in the "styles" drop down menu. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m using TinyMCE 2.0.6. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Angie

      Try switching to the Full Featured theme. Your styles should show up so long as you’ve populated the "Path to CSS file" field in the configuration. However, keep in mind that it may require you to create a custom CSS file specifically for use in TinyMCE or the like. TinyMCE sometimes has a funky way of displaying CSS from the same file you use for your site. I’ll see if I can implement the CSS functionality for the Advanced theme and update the installer. smiley

        FYI: In the Section "Administration -> System conf. -> Interface and Editor settings -> TinyMCE settings -> CSS Selectors" instead of using
        'displayName=selectorName;displayName2=selectorName2'

        I simply use
        displayName=selectorName;displayName2=selectorName2

        without the sticks. That works fo me. Strange, hm...

          Thanks for the tip - I did try that and it did work. Unfortunately, I don’t really like having all those options in the Full Featured theme (for the client anyway), so I just created a work around. If you can implement that into the Advanced theme, that’d be sweet!

          Thanks again.

            That would be GOOD!
            I don’t like the Full Featured theme, it has way too many options and will put font tags all over the place if you’re not careful undecided
              Thanks for MODx - I love it!

              Basically, it should be possible to switch to the "advanced" theme in the editor settings and configure the TinyMCE plugin with options like: theme_advanced_* : "value". That way the toolbar layout could be easily customized and styles added to the editor’s drop down menu. I tried and edited the plugin code in the Resources Manager - near line 210, tinyMCE.init({ - but nothing changes. Is something wrong with my approach?

              And: How about creating ones own TinyMCE theme and installing it in the Manager?

              Thanks for any insight!
