I’ve defined a custom site_unavailable page which uses my standard page template. The custom unavailable page renders just fine when the site is up.
When I take the site down, the request is redirected to the site_unavailable page just like it should be.
The problem is that the css styles will not render properly. In my standard page template, I am using a master.css file which is actually another modx resource document. I did this so that I can wrap up multiple css files into one master stylesheet and also include modx tvs in the style sheets.
So when the site is offline, modx redirects to the right page and clearly loads the right page template, but the call from the template for the master.css document fails to load the contents.
Is it possible to allow access to a specific resource when in offline mode? I guess a workaround here is to create a new template specifically for the site_unavailable page and just hard code all of the style sheets into that template.

You are correct. When the site is offline the only resource that is visible is the specified offline resource.
Thanks for the confirmation Susan. I went ahead and created a template specifically for this page which was really a pretty simple fix.
