Was wondering what folks are using for Search in Revo.

I tried SimpleSearch but there doesn’t seem to be any way to remove the default ’Search’ text before the form field.
In Ajax Search I could add a parameter to remove that.

Sorry about the cross post. Had posted this in the search forum but didn’t receieve any help.

I guessed that the method for doing this would be the same as Ajaxsearch, and apparently that is still true. You just need to template it.

      This should get you started.

You could just copy the default one and tweak it, stick it in a chunk, use that instead of the default, boom, you’re done. More work than one tiny parm, but not much.

        Thanks samba

I was doing that when I receieved your suggestion.
        Appreciate the reply.

Working great now. Had to zap the field label which read

        <label for="[[+searchIndex]]">[[%sisea.search? &namespace=`sisea` &topic=`default`]]</label>

Once I zapped all the padding and margin it’s aligned properly too.

I usually just add to my CSS

          [tt]label {display:none;} [/tt]

to hide the text, rather than alter the default template or settings.
