    Hello again,

I’ve been playing around with creating user groups and varying manager permissions today with some success, but, of course, I’ve hit a bit of a problem:

At some undeterminable point, it seems as though all Gallery chunks and snippets have vanished from the Elements tree. They still all work, because the site all functions as intended, I can just no longer access any part of them in the manager.

    Currently running:
    Windows XP pro SP3
    MODx Revolution 2.0.7-pl (traditional)
    Apache Version : 2.2.17
    PHP Version : 5.3.5
    MySQL Version : 5.5.8

Could somebody please put me out of my misery?

Edit: the wayfinder and getResourceField snippets are still present.

Have you created any Element Category Access ACL entries?

        Hi BobRay,

Yes, I’ve created one for myself as I didn’t want the other user to have access to them.

When I click on "Add Category" there’s only 2 category options: "getResourceRield" or "none". So I have two Element Category Access entries, one for "web" and one for "mgr" with the settings:

        Category : getReasourceField
        Minimum Role : Super User - 0
        Access Policy : Element

Edit: On seeing your response here, I also added two more in the "none" category, just in case that was the issue, then cleared the cache and flushed sessions again and it seems to have resolved the issue.

Thanks for your time, and pointing me in the right general direction.

I think this may be a bug. Another user reported something similar. The Element Category ACL entries shouldn’t affect uncategorized elements, but I think it may be happening.

It sounds like you have discovered a workaround for it. wink
