      I saw the FileDownload snippet was added to the main page, thx. Just thought I would let you know, if you want to change the link to this:

      I have updated the original code to use the template stuff mentioned previosly, but instead of using a csv file for the file description, I made it access a chunk to get the descriptions. I thought this would be better because it would be easier to edit in the manager. I also have kept the ability to have alternating row colors if you use a table for the layout.

      So its up to you if you want to update the link, I just thought I would let you know about the updated version.

        Sure thing guys, I’m kinda confuse here. So David, could you give me the exact snippet name, snippet description, and snippet link for both filedownload and fileupload? I will fix the listing above, by the time you give me all that in one post, so I know for sure which one that I need to put on the repository wink

        Btw, we have 8901 view for this topic, which the last addition is because I’m visiting this topic, lol. grin Kewl... It seems everybody enjoy having a repository for all MODx resources.

          Thats a good point, thanks for all your’s & Davids work keeping it up to date. I think its a great soloution while we wait for a repository to be built later. This makes it so much easier to keep up to date.

            Grabs the content from the summary textbox (introtext) from a random page, including a link back to that page.

            I use it to display a quote on the homepage.

                  Hi guys, to make sure that this repository is u to date with the latest resources development, please help me by providing some other resources that haven’t make its way to the repository, by pasting the information in this format, to make my life a lot easier wink

Backend document manager automatically selects the template of the parent document (instead of using the system-wide default template) if the user creates a blank page.

                  Notice that there is a link there for the forum topic, which usually, you can give the cut down version of the link such as the ne shown above. If it’s show up as topic,1092.0.html or some other number between the topic id number and html, you can remove it for the link to pointed on the first topic post. You can also remove the anchor # after the html, which usually not needed.

                  Check the title, it’s located between the b tag, and you can put whatever title that best described the resources or the real naming given by the resources author.

                  The summary will be a plain simple text.

                  Notice that you guys need to enclose it in code tag, to ensure that the bbcode will be displayed as is, and I can just copy and paste them to the repository.

                  Another warning, if the snippets is not located under its own forum thread, please ask the author to do that, so we can just have a link being directed to that thread, and all concern or problem can be directed on that thread. We also need to make sure that the resources is working. So if it’s still under development, please help me and the other core users in here to keep an eye on the project. By the time you guys think that the resources ready to be used and aded to the repository, please feel free to post the information on this thread.

                    If we have the Trac enable we can use the Trac to keep this REPOSITORY update by everyone that have access to the Trac so that Wendy will not be the only one can keep this list updated.

                      Sounds cool, but we will have a better repository system later. SO this will be a temporary repository. Try to look for "snippet optimization". That’s the thread where we disucss about a better repository for resources and anything related to resources.
