Sorry for the late answer, but NO I didn’t get this working.

I combined all the code, put it in a plugin I called DoubleLoginLogout.... but never got an answer to my last question (see above), so I dind’t try a lot just 2 things:
    - Hardcoding my username and password in the code (see first post, the bold text in the first code block) I didn’t get a double login...
    - also tried $_POST[’username’].
I don’t know enough to get the username and password that put in the backend and frontend manager login, "send" (?) to the plugin...
The system events I checked were OnManagerLogin and OnManagerLogout

But I don’t know if this should be right:
I’m logged in both as webuser and manager, then when I logout via the manager or the frontend ManagerLogin.... I also get logged out as a webuser.... and I don’t have the stuff from this topic enabled (the plugin I made was disabled)

Maybe another quirk: When I did have this "plugin" enabled, if I would login as a manager via the manager (so not frontend), I would NOT get redirected to the backend (again login screen).... I had to do a page refresh F5 and then I would end up in the back end manager.

I’m afraid its far above my level of knowledge....and I ain’t got the time..... hoping someone alse will figure it out (AND post it wink )

      Thank you for this report.

Maybe Revolution is an option in the near future (no more distinction between Web and Manager users) - but I’ve not tested this and don’t know how much trouble it will be to switch to Revolution when it is released officially.

Thanks xyzvisual for sharing this seems to be exactly the workaround I was looking for.

For what it’s worth I am confident that Revolutions’ design choice of merging web and manager users is the best one. There are too few advantages to justify the seperation.
