Is this possible in any way? I want to be able to alter the date showed on the newspost, but altering the integer values with phpadmin scares me shocked

Thank you! I’ve never seen any other open source software with this kind of support. You guys are doing a great job!

Attached is a temporary hack to the NewsListing snippet which can sort by createdon (default), editedon, or pub_date. You just need to add a snippet parameter of &datetype=`pub_date` to sort by and display this column instead of createdon (though please note, if no pub_date is assigned to the document, the createdon date is used).

This is a hack because it does not exclude documents which users do not have access to, as the original version does. We are working on a permanent solution in conjunction with some core API changes to improve this functionality. It also will not respect the showInMenu indicator at the moment. More soon.

NOTE: Just copy this over your current NewsListing snippet (you might create a duplicate of the original so you can revert back if this doesn’t work for you for any reason).

Thanks, i threw this in, BUT:
Pub_date cannot be set in my environment because JavaScript failure (IE6 with some wraparound). I insist on making the date fields plain text entry, maybe with JavaScript checking.
