    Hello,

Currently I’m using on Typo3 cms, also Joomla as well.

How is it MODx compared to these two CMS systems?

    Thanks!

In all fairness though, you’d need to describe exactly what type of site you’re building for an objective answer—and believe it or not it may not be MODX! I suspect you’d get a different answer asking on those two projects’ forums as well.

        Thanks rthrash,

Well I’m asking about general comparison without any specifics. I know that if I’d started a IM project, I’d use WordPres...

Looking at the link you provided MODx beats Drupal/Jumla/Wordpres... that’s interesting because few days ago I hadn’t even heard of this CMS.

Probably what is more important to me is "How beginner friendly MODX is", because Typo3 is pain-in-the-ass, Joomla and WordPress are OK.

My personal opinion is that EVO is extremely beginner friendly, where has REVO is still a bit of problem due to fewer established docs but getting better all the time. But what ever happens the community on here are one of the best beginner friendly bunch of people I have ever met.

            Hi Natalie St,

I have tried few CMS, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and MODx. I think that MODx template system is the simplest to understand and use, second goes WordPress, third Drupal, and then Joomla template system (which I don’t like, expecially because it hasn’t got rid of tables yet).

Speaking about Plugins and Extras, WordPress, Joomla and Drupal obviously outnumber MODx because they’re more popular, but many times what you can do with a plugin/snippets in another CMS can be done on MODx using the core functionality. What I mean is that MODx template system and MODx plugins/snippets are VERY flexible.
