My modx site is suddenly just white pages.

Hello.

I have a bit of a problem, my modx site consists only of white pages. Administration panel isn’t accessible also, just another white page.
I haven’t done any changes since site was last running, which was about few days ago.

I’m using modx revolution, but I’m not sure which version.


What could be the problem here ?

You may not be running the latest version of revo, version 2.0.8 corrects an issue along those lines.

Try clearing the site cache and you should be good long enough to upgrade.

If your admin panel is blank also, I don’t think that would be related to the cache problem solved in 2.0.8. Worth the try of course, but something else may be going on.

Try viewing the error log (core/cache/logs/error.log) and see if there’s anything in there that can tip us of. Post the last couple of errors if you’re not sure what they mean. Could also check the apache error log.


Is this a shared server?

The problem seems to occur when switching contexts (not sure this is the correct terminology). What i mean is after you have edited one piece of data, say a chunk, and then try to go to the Resource tab.

I have my default set to "save and leave file open" but i always save before i "switch contexts".

The problem seems worse when creating new template variables and i have had failures just creating 2 new template variables in succession without leaving the template variable screen.

My recollection is that this began occurring after upgrading from 2.0.7 to 2.0.8.
