Just want to let everyone know, I am using this on 1.0.3 and it’s workign perfectly. I have a lot of content that I am pulling into pages via AJAX and when you search the site, the pages used for the AJAX functionality don’t have full page header/footer info.
Well, I installed TemplateSwitcher and put the donotswitch comment into all the full page templates, then made a custom AjaxSearch Result template chunk to output the template switcher code.
Now when the pages come up in the search and are clicked, they have a generic subpage template that displays (instead of nothing), allowing me to have a more robust search feature on the site but also to have a better user experience using jQuery and AJAX.
Oh and make sure those pages you want to switch are not cached
