Has anyone developed any WebUser registration code for allowing users to sign up from the front-end. Just thought I'd ask before I built it. cool

I've got one that's working either for direct registration or for a positive response from a PayPal IPN flow.

However, I think the main release will address this better in the near future.

I know that the idea of this snippet is to let user change content without giving access to the back-end.

I placed the snippet in a login page, I created a web user. Then I loggin with this user, but how I let this user edit the content (I create the webuser group, the document group, join them, etc etc)

        Thanks in advance!

          Emi,

The web user system and the Manager users are two completely different things. Think of web users as a way to have "private" web pages.

Manager Users are the ones that can get into the back end and edit pages.

So... what's the idea to have a web user login? Why someone would like to have a pirvate page?

So... what's the idea to have a web user login? Why someone would like to have a pirvate page?

For instance, I have an area of protected content for members, or perhaps subscribers and in order to access this extra special content, I want them to provide credentials, or even pay me.

Another case is to provide snippet- or module-based security, where the snippet itself can present different output based on whether a user is logged in. And this is eventually how we will allow WebUsers to edit specific content areas, in conjunction with extended permissioning.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hmmm, I have to get out of my hermit scrab state of mind. Still thinking in regular *nuke abilities. ugh shockedops:

Would any of you guys mind posting a snippet you've created for login/registration?
