tinyMCE HTML edit window empty - solved

I have a new local install of 0.9.6.1p2. When I attempt to edit a document with tinyMCE and choose HTML the editor opens empty. The editor will accept input and change the document accordingly when "updated" but it does not load the existing code when opened/chosen. This is true in both Firefox/2.0.0.12 and I.E. 7.0.5730.13.

Oddly enough the editor does display the existing content when I connect to the site via my laptop. (both FF and IE) Both systems are running XP-SP2 and are current with updates. I have also compared browsers on both systems detail by detail and they are identical.

Any suggestions?
