[2.0.8] TV input type "File" not allowing to paste URL

Hi. It happend with 2.0.8 update. So I have template variable typed as "File" with no filtering or input options. It is asaigned to templates that uses it of course. It allows me to select a video asset by MODx browser and this worka great, but if I would paste a whole URL ex http://someserver.com/videoasset.mp4 and then I save changes and then refresh Manager and get back to that resource Template Variables tab it shows me no changes and no data has not been saved.
Have You had this problem?
It was ok on 2.0.6.

2.0.8 only changed some cache handling, so this must have already been present back in 2.0.7.

Can you please check the error log for any errors?

That is a bug, there’s a fix for it:

The file posted on that link is not available any more. Anyone know where I can get it? I tried downloading 2.1.0-rc4 and using the file in there, but that didn’t work.
