    Hi,

I am facing a big problem and want a solution, I struggle a lot but couldn’t find a solution.
I am using version 0.9.6.3, the site is running fine, but when ever I want to edit any thing, I get different error messages.

When editing a template I am getting this error

    "Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

and when editing a document I am getting this error

    "Method Not Implemented

    POST to /manager/index.php not supported."

I am into deep problem, please help.

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like your hosting company has implemented some type of security system, such as suhosin or mod_security.

If that is the problem, a solution depends on what your hosting company or server admin has done. You’ll have to talk to your tech support.

I am not to much tech guy, so what I need to tell to the server to fixed it.
And if you want I can give you the backend access for sometime.

            Thank you

Tell them what you told us, that you can’t POST any edits to your CMS manager. There’s nothing anyone else can do about it.

And you really should upgrade to MODx Evolution 1.0.5; there are a number of security issues that have been found and fixed over the years since the version you are using.

If I can upgrade the live version i.e from 0.9.6.3 to MODx Evolution 1.0.5, and what are the things I need to take care of at the time of upgradation. And also is there any button or some links for upgarde in the backend.

                Thank you

Make sure you don’t upgrade the snippets! The basic snippets (wayfinder, ditto) have changed since then, and if you upgrade those the snippet calls in your templates/content probably won’t work.
