    Hey there,

we have a large number of websites that had been built using PHP4. After a large amount of legwork we are now ready to upgrade our server to a new apache version.

In order to test we have setup a virtual server with the new apache version and a secondary IP. This allows us to add the new IP to our etc/hosts file and can test to make sure everything is working as intended.

The problem that faces us currently is that although we can view files directly in the assets folder of our modx installation the index.php throws a 404.

I was under the impression that modx 0.9.6 supported both PHP4 and PHP5, so I am a little at loss as to where to go from here.

    Thanks for any pointers!

    Taff

    • I’ve had 0.9.6.x sites running on a PHP5 server without any problems. Try re-running the installer and/or upgrading to 1.0.3 and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I will take a look. Can anyone confirm that the installer needs to be rerun when the PHP version is upgraded?

        Cheers,
        Taff

0963 will not work with php 5.3.0 but earlier versions. You need to patch core files.
