post installation problem modx 0.9.6.3

after successful installation of modx 0.9.6.3 it, shows "Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is [b]deprecated in C:\xampp\htdocs\modx0963\manager\includes\browsercheck.inc.php[/b] on line 16" to login as manager.

version details are given below-

That’s because you’re using PHP 5.3. You can disable these errors in your php.ini file I believe.

Why 0.9.6.3 and not 1.0.2? Ideally you should be working with the latest version (1.0.2), it’s a lot better.
