    I’m using 0.9.6.3

I created the following role with these permissions:

    Change password
    Create new documents
    Edit a document
    Save documents
    Publish documents
    Delete documents
    Use the file manager

BobBrown’s Manager User Group is Chapters - Chapter A.
BobBrown manages the document group Editors - Chapter A
BobBrown’s Web User Group is Chapter A Members. He maintains resources only for this web group.

So, under Manager Permissions, User/Document Group links look like this:

    Chapters - Chapter A
Editors - Chapter A (manager document group only)
Members - Chapter A (this document group is also used in Web users)

Each manager user belongs to an assigned manager group and webgroup and has their own node on the site tree to maintain.

When the editor for that group signs in, I want the documents that they create in their section of the site tree to inherit the assigned manager and web groups. However, this isn’t happening. The webpages and weblinks that the manager users create are all public.

I’ve enabled Access Permissions and Web Access Permissions, but I don’t want them to see all of the document groups that exist since I don’t want them to assign access to any other groups other than their own.

How do I make the manager user inherit the permissions that they’re assigned?

    Thanks.

I don’t have your problem huh
      Use access permissions: Yes
      Allow root: No
      Show protected pages: No

      in roles are
      Permissions management: unchecked

and on Manager user setting make sure he is restricted to his
manager user group (+ manager document group).

I never let manager users share document groups, rather assign the document
      to both users doc group...

He has only one user group checked within the manager user interface.
Only one document group is assigned to the user group.

The document group is not shared with any other manager users or web users.

When I am logged in as the admin, it works. But it doesn’t work when I’m logged in as the manager user.

Aha! When I have more time I should try to see if I can replicate this. It probably should be added to JIRA if it’s the same way also in EVO!

Does this mean it won’t get fixed in 0.9.6?

"IF" it is a bug(!) and it also apply to EVO and they fix it, one could probably patch 0963 with it. But the only reason why I would see they do anything more to 0963, would be if things concerning security was found...
