Home manager really slow... but other pages fine

Hi there,

I get some problem on a particular install I don’t host. It’s a shared server running PHP Version 5.2.0-8+etch13 on Apache2

The home manager is really slow... about 1mn. I did some screens from firebug.

On the install we run since November, see file erreur-manager.jpg

On fresh install, same server, see file erreur-manager-2.jpg

1/ We access manager from different places (home, work) : it’s slow thus no problem with internet network

2/ With different browsers (FF or IE) : it’s slow thus no problem with local config

3/ As a lot of people here, I run MODx for different sites : never had such problem : no problem with MODx !

4/ I tested the install on wamp (local server) : manager runs perfect... might it come from the host ?

What should I tell to the host in order to give him some clue to find where the problem is from ? He tells me that the server is not overloaded.

Maybe it’s the RSS feeds timing out on the Welcome page - are you behind a proxy when it’s running slow?

You could try removing the RSS feed retrieval from the Welcome Page as discussed here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,28952.msg187805.html#msg187805

I’ve just cleared the RSS path but they are still displayed on the welcome page.

Anyway, I’m asking the host for the information needed in Snoopy class (hope they use a proxy lol ! )
