Im new to modx, I design websites and I want to use modx as my main cms for all my clients, can someone give me some advice on how to take my designs in psd format and put it into modx?
Take your PSD file (hopefully set up with a lot of layers) and carve it up into a presentation system using a static page system of valid (strict) XHTML, CSS and a folder of images. Once you have that running and tested with good and not so good browsers you will be ready to use all of this as a custom MODx template. You need to learn what the basic dynamic placeholder pieces that MODx uses.
I really find it best to first create a working base static system BEFORE introducing it to the wonder that is MODx.
I also come from the PSD and XHTML/CSS world. I tried a whole bunch of CMS platforms. MODx is now "home" for me...
