[Snippet] ajaxReport.05.0.-beta - complete database integration

I have created a snippet (actually a pair of snippets) that integrates the latest version of jQgrid into modx. These 2 snippets provide complete database functionality via the CRUD icons available on the grid. I am posting it as a beta version, but so far, it seems very reliable.

Yes, this works on the backend as well. That is the purpose of 2 snippets...a frontend snippet that builds the grid and a backend snippet to handle all ajax requests to the database on the backend. Both snippets use a common chunk that defines the column model.

Ok, great! Next question: I need to see the datagrid as well in the backend/manager. Is that possible?

I will try it this evening, so I’ll find it out, but it’s just great to know in front.

This set of snippets works in the ’backend’ in the sense that it handles ajax requests to the backend database. I am not sure how to integrate it into the backend/manager. FYI, if you read the intro text at http://westfork.net/ajaxreports you will see that it DOES NOT work when logged into the manager and QM tool is embedded into the same page as the jqgrid javascript query. Obviously, there is a jquery conflict, since both QM and jqgrid are jquery tools.

I am not a javascript expert (most of my experience is with database development). Hopefully, a javascript expert that needs this to work while QM is running can help provide a solution.

I forgot to mention it....yes I did set up a demo at http://westfork.net/reports. Feel free to add/delete/insert records (using the icons at the bottom of the grid). This is all dummy data.
