Generic module maker

I’ve made a generic module maker for MODx, and just updated it so that it works with version 1.0. You can download it here:

Documentation is included with the module maker, but the screenshots are for version 0.9.x.

Attached is a (hopefully) screenshot of an admin screen for MODx 1.0 for the connoisseurs.

Great idea.
Should really speed up custom module development.

There’s more. I’ve done multisite, limiting the treeview in the admin, and SEO urls best matching. As soon as I have them documentation ready, I’ll post these too.

Found time to play with this..

Installed fine, clicked on my new module (Module Maker) and nothing happens...just a blank screen

Environment:

Apache 2.2
PHP 5.3
MySQL 5.1.37
MODx Evolution 1.0
Linux
FF 3.0

Are you expecting the module maker to make the module for you out of the box, or did you follow the instructions in the docs folder?

No am not expecting it to do that . However, what I was expecting after installing it a button or wizard like feature that would tell me "click here to create your module" or similar.I did read the docs but now I think I see where I messed up. In my overzealousness I created a module called module maker and for its code I used the code in "module_maker.php" though the instructions in the docs don’t mention anything like that. Reading the docs again, I think this was a mistake? One shouldn’t create a module called "module maker". Instead, one should create their modules but reference the module maker class. As you can probably tell, I am a little wet behind the ears

Thanks for the offer to look into my problem, however it is a local install. I’ll try out the address book example and report any issues.

By the way, I can’t find it now but I was reading a post about best practices for MODx developers and there was this thing about how to name your php files. For a class, it was something like module_maker.class.php. Many thanks.
