[Snippet] Calendar - based on Google Cal, SimplePie

Mr Haw, I get your point about the mini calendar, but I’m feeling a bit dense since neither of your links seem to point to a calendar, mini or otherwise. If they are in your managers for tv values, I guess we can’t see them...

But does anyone else see the time problem mentioned earlier? Go to (http://www.eastonlodge152.com/lodgeevents) and click one of the calendar event links. Time settings in each event’s google detail page are resetting to GMT, yet they display correctly in the snippet. That ain’t gonna cut it...

I have successfully installed the google events calendar on this modx installation www.assesuncoast.org. The snippet pulls the events but they display on the day before. For example tax day april 15th displays on April 14th.
Did I miss something in the installation? Need help!!!!

mrhaw, your mini calendar looks sweet! The reason why i want to use the list mode however, is mainly as a fallback solution for the visually impaired using screenreaders. I want to save them from having to listen through every date in the calendar before getting to an event. Is there really no simple way of showing more than the current month’s events in list mode?

Chuck, thanks for the work on this. It is a great solution for a ModX project I am working on. I am trying to emulate the functionality you have on the Fellowship Bible Church site, with the event detail popping up by clicking on the event name. Would it be possible to see a sample of this as a template? It would be great to have this as an example like the iCal example.

A problem has just popped up and I have no idea what happened. I’m using Calendar on this site http://www.goodecompany.com/the-armadillo-palace-event-calendar.html&year=2010&month=03 and my list feed has just disappeared. The event list is used on the home page of the site and the page linked here. It’s empty, but the same calendar that feeds the list is also feeding the data for the iCal-style calendar on the page, which is working.

I’ve double-checked the email addresses in my calendar snippet and everything is correct. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

One other thing, in April there is one event showing up in the list. Nothing else. All of these events are Public in Google Calendar.

Nevermind. I had made a change to the calendar.inc.php in order to limit the results to upcoming events within a particular month and that date calculation is causing the problem.

Hi Chuck. I think I may have discovered an issue. The calendar (tested with iCal and default templates) only displays single day events. If you add an event that spans more than one day - only the first day is displayed.

This is a great way to present a client with an option for updating their calendar without having to deal with formatting. Works very well - many thanks for your hard work!

Is there any way to present a modal window containing the full details of the day’s events for the default Calendar?

This looks like a great addition How easy would it be to bring the actual event link page into the page rather than shelling out to Google at that point (or to make it optional)? Just an idea...
