Update the website

I have a question
I like to know if in the modx exist way to change something in the backoffice and this change don’t appear in the online website.
The update only appear on the online website when I commit these changes.

Did you (or your client) clear the cache of modx when a document is changed or added?

I create all the document without Cacheable

Can you see the update in the manager while you can not see it at the site itself? Or is the change not visible at the manager too?

I think that what the post is asking is if there is a way to make edits in the manager but not have them reflect in the front end until after being committed. If this is the question, the answer is no. If the document you are editing is published, as soon as you click on apply it will reflect to the front end. My recommendation is to unpublish any critical documents while you are editing and republish when finished.

The option is that the client edit unpublished pages that admin must publish.

Lol... to fast reading is not good I thought there were problems with publishing things


It is not possible in modx, but you can make a TV with a rich text field. And then show that field to your user and not the real content field (can be done with the ManagerManager plugin). Then you as admin can see the real content field and the fake TV content field. The only thing you have to do manually then is to copy paste the content to the real field

Interesting idea, here are some expansions on the concept:
1) use a plugin to automatically copy the content over from the ’preview’ content to the ’official’ content
2) use a checkbox to tell the plugin to copy the content
3) during development you could use a snippet (or phx) to toggle the content while logged in as manager. and you could use user groups to only allow a specific group to have access to both content fields

Not sure if this is at all doable, haven’t had much coffee yet this morning
