Apache MaxClients being exceeded

Hi All,

We have a client that is using Modx 1.0.2, and recently the site has become unavailable, and we have no idea what could be causing it. The site is running on Linux and is running Apache. what we are seeing is that the MaxClients (therefore the number of threads that Apache can handle) is exceeded, and therefore craches apache. The issue doesn;t take the server down, but it does cause the site not to be served up.

Has anyone come across this behaviour in the past?

You really should upgrade to 1.0.5 regardless as part of the process of investigating a solution for no other reason than security.
