In the code above the line:
 
$url = $modx->makeUrl([~id~], '', '', 'full');

should be

$url = $modx->makeUrl([+id+], '', '', 'full');
```
Also, this will produce a link to the current page without a call to makeUrl():
```
[~[+id+]~]  
```
