Well, yes I also read about the problem with "@CODE". But, what I mean is creating/generating a final document that has a [!Jot!] call. Something like the old NewsPublisher with the &footertpl paramenter.

Hey thanks Bruno! Very practical!

I have the tiny browser going to a specific folder on my server... is there a way to only allow a specific user, access to this folder? I want each user to beable to create their own folder on registration and when they activate the tiny browser only this person can access the folder. I don’t mind that they can see others folders but I don’t want them to be able to access the folder at all.

I don’t know if you are aware that this release has a bug, a kin_of of frustrating one ...

Assuming standard install

this is the fdm call from page id 73
[[FDM? &id=`71` &editorpageid=`72`]]

when I click on the delete Buton the browser relocates to this URL
http://localhost/demo1/index.php?id=72&fdmaction=delete&fdmid=71
but page id 71 is not deleted

and this page
http://localhost/demo1/index.php?id=72&demarcation=delete&fdmid=71
shows me nothing

In fact this happenes with all the FDM buttons

well, it’s kind of working but the FDM calls in page 73 and 72 MUST BE IDENTICAL. ... not very convenient... anyway, I’ll try to bypass this with a TV evall to extract my id value on the other side (starting from 73 and landing on 72)... who knows...

What happens if you call it uncached [!...!]?

I take of from a cahed fdm page (id is provided by an paginating ditto -- in this case ditto must be uncached and all snippets listed in the tpl chunk must be cadhed)
and land on a uncached page

I think it would be better if you manage to save session when a blog creator makes this call [[fdm? &id=`some id` some other parameters &editorpage=`some page id with a fdm call - with no parameters`]]

This way you may have a "copy" of the initial fdm call

Personaly I think this snippet will become the standard for future blog creating tools for the modx CMS. It only needs some ajustments...

I have my own myspace idea running for gamers in the USA and it works amazingly...I’m sure as a blog system it would work nice. I actually have blogs for each signed up user as well. I want to get a tutorial typed up but there’s still a couple things that I want to do before I do that. I have a couple posts live on the forum, if I manage to get some help for the things I need then I’ll create a mini website with the HOW TO.
