[Snippet] FeedX

There seems to be problems associated with this and there has been no definitive solution as of yet. Brian seems to be no longer around to support this snippet with further updates. In assets/snippets/FeedX/classes/feedx.class.inc.php, on line 104, try changing

If no one else finds the time to try and fix this, I might look at how SimplePie handles encoding and see if I can utilize it in FeedX. However this will be low priority as I have no need for it myself.

for the first feed your hint works, and at this moment it’s okay this way.

I haven’t looked at this functionality. When I get a chance I will try to look at the random feature. I am sure it does just pick a random element without checking if it has already selected it before

Mind posting a link to an example of the output (feel free to PM me this if the site isn’t public). Also could you post your template files here?

I can’t seem to get FeedX working.

This is the result I’m getting:

this is the call I’m making:

[!FeedX? &url=`http://feeds.feedburner.com/AbcNews_Technology|xq|format|xe|xml` &preset=`xml` cacheTime=`3600` &debug=`1`!]

What am I doing wrong?

Looks like it might be a path issue. Is that the correct path to the included file?

I’m trying to use this Feed URL...



Obviously, the ? and & are replaced correctly. And the feed URL works as expected if I go directly to it. But it isn’t working. I use this on another part of my forum, which us showing up fine.

Two of the forums listed in that call are empty, but that shouldn’t affect it, right?

I had enabled it, but I didn’t see nothing that made any sense to the issue at hand. Should I be looking for something in specific?

Does it show anything in the "Feed Data" tab?
