Sorry for the interruption I installed FeedX exactly as written in this thread, I created a new doc and called it this way:



This is the original Google world news Rss feed : http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn&ned=us&topic=w&output=rss

However, and as you may probably guessed, I’m getting:
Open Debug Console
Save Debug Console

I attached print screens of what the Debug Console gives me.

Anyone can help?

1) i am parsing french rss, but accent ( éèà ) don t appear ? how to make it work ?

2 ) i would like to use many rss sources, how to include them in editing order ?

So, just a question regarding caching and Flickr images. Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere in the thread already, but I’ve looked through and don’t see anything obvious: I’d like to cache the images loaded from Flickr somewhere on my local server to avoid invoking the ire of Yahoo if my page ever receives many visits in a short period of time. It doesn’t look like FeedX’s built-in caching is designed to handle caching anything other than the content of the RSS feed itself. Is there an existing idiom for "grab all the files from this array of URLs when feedx updates the feed, save them locally, and don’t touch the Flickr server until feedx updates the feed again?" Or is this going to need to be a custom-rolled bit?

Yes that was a problem with me.

I had to post content of some rrs feeds on my site, I asked in this forum many times about how to play with this snippet to get what I want, but no answer

So I wrote mine snippet to do that

have a look, It gets content image and mp3 file, than publish content, and save mp3 and images to specific folder

It is just a some kind of test, I am not wiiling to keep the content futher

Has anyone done more work to combine Google Events with FeedX?

So that FeedX can also become a calendar tool?

I know I do not have time to do any work with it, and I believe Kyle has not done this either. Maybe someone can pick that up.

Is there a way to truncate the content of a placeholder? Some feeds have too long [+DESCRIPTION+} to fit nicely into my design.
