I was looking for something that would simply plugin to Quickedit and make the image I posted in any articles appear with the option to enlarge to a light box.
I think MaxiGallery (in it’s current incarnation) is a very nice and functional ’gallery’ tool but I wanted to just make single article images uploaded have that lightbox feature.
So with my (lack) of extended knowledge of ModX snippets I found a lightbox script, which is lightweight enough to not cause probs and is really, really easy to implement. Just now I’m just resolving the image paths for the CSS on the lightbox scripts to show icons etc. It’s working but I’m missing the X icons to close the Lightbox. The close feature does work, just need to get it lookin properly.
If your still needing help on this let me know (anyone) and I’ll post how I managed it here. Also I’m very open to even easier ModX snippets and modules to implement for this ’quickedit image can have a lightbox feature’.

Let me test out a couple of things and once I’m back home tomorrow I’ll see if I can post a mini-walkthrough of what I had to do.
I used this version of Lightbox 2.0 called litebox1.0 which seems to work ok for now. Sadly I’m a bit pushed for time to explain.

Basic premise was that I pasted the javascript load code into my templates header, hardwired some of the lightbox icons/image-links on the lightbox.css and the lightbox.js tweaked the padding etc. Then once I had added an image I created a link to the images location and the script picked it up and shows up in a nice lightbox. It’s not passing vars such as caption and description but I’ve just today picked this one up and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to pass these details into the javascript etc.
In fact if I’m able to put it all into a snippet and call that snippet from the sites template html/php then that might work better.
